We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where young children can learn, grow, and develop essential skills. Your leadership and management abilities will ensure that daily activities are engaging and educational, fostering a positive atmosphere for both children and staff. The ideal candidate will bring experience working with children, strong communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for early childhood development.
Duties
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote learning, social skills, and emotional well-being
- Supervise and support children throughout their daily routines, including playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and daily experiences
- Lead and manage a team of fellow practitioners, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality childcare standards
- Organize regular assessments of children's development to tailor activities that meet individual needs
- Ensure compliance with all childcare policies, procedures, and licensing requirements
- Support the professional development of team members through training opportunities
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with children in a childcare or nursery setting
- Strong management and leadership skills to oversee daily operations and team coordination
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills in English to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Childcare qualifications or relevant certifications in early childhood education preferred
- Valid driving license is advantageous for transporting children or attending off-site activities
- Ability to create an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity and promotes positive behavior
