Senior Care Assistants Nights & Days – (LS9) Newly opening residential care home in Leeds

We are looking for experienced Senior Care Assistants to work in this new home, part of a wonderful family-run group of care homes. This is a modern, vibrant care home with outstanding facilities, and a wonderful, supportive team.
We are recruiting for up to 3 Senior Night Care Assistants and 1 Senior Days Care Assistants
Hourly rate is £14.75 per hour
Shifts are 8am-8pm/8pm-8am, contracts from 24-48 hours p/w available.

What we really need are experienced, capable and friendly people who can lead colleagues, build a rapport with residents and provide outstanding levels of care.
Responsibilities:
- Leading and supervising staff to ensure care is delivered safely and effectively.
- Administering medication – Giving medication safely in line with organisational policies and recording administration accurately (where trained and authorised).
- Developing and updating care plans – Monitoring residents' needs, recording changes, and contributing to person-centred care planning.
- Maintaining accurate records – Completing care notes, incident reports, medication records, and handover documentation.
- Providing personal care (washing, dressing, toileting, grooming, and continence care).
- Assisting with mobility and safe moving and handling.
- Supporting with meals, hydration, and nutrition.
- Assisting with medication
- Promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health or wellbeing.
- Maintaining accurate care records and documentation.
- Safeguarding individuals from abuse or neglect.
- Following infection prevention, health and safety, and PPE procedures.
- Providing emotional support and companionship.
- Communicating effectively with individuals, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Supporting social activities and promoting overall wellbeing.
- Respecting confidentiality, equality, diversity, and person-centred care principles.
You will need:
- NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care
- Care home experience at Senior level
- Medication trained and experienced
- Experience building and updating care plans
