Mobile HGV Technician – Day Shift – Up to £45,000
Location: Runcorn (Mobile Role)
Salary: Up to £45,000 per year (DOE)
Job Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Shift: Monday to Friday – Day Shift
About the Role
We are recruiting an experienced Mobile HGV Technician to cover the Runcorn region. This is a day‑shift mobile role offering excellent pay, long‑term stability and a fully equipped company service van.
You will carry out on‑site servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs across customer depots, roadside locations and fleet sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Mobile HGV servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Diagnostics on mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
- Respond to breakdowns and roadside call‑outs
- Conduct DVSA‑standard inspections and safety checks
- Complete job cards, service sheets and digital reports accurately
- Maintain company van, tools and mobile equipment
- Deliver professional customer service on every site visit
Requirements
- Experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Mobile HGV Engineer
- Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance qualification preferred
- Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding skills
- Ability to work independently in a mobile role
- Full UK driving licence (HGV licence beneficial)
- Good communication and customer‑facing skills
