Overview
We are seeking energetic and dedicated QUALIFIED ONLY LEVEL 2/3/6 Out-of-Hours/Night-Shift Interpreters to join our dynamic team. This vital role involves providing accurate and timely interpretation services during evening and overnight hours, ensuring seamless communication across multiple languages. Working hours are scheduled from 6:00 pm to 12:00 am and from 12:00 am to 8:00 am, offering a flexible night-shift schedule that supports work-life balance. All positions are paid, recognizing the importance of your contribution around the clock.
Duties
- Deliver high-quality interpretation services in real-time across various settings, including healthcare, legal, social services, or customer support.
- Facilitate clear communication between speakers of different languages by accurately translating spoken language during interactions.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times, ensuring sensitive information remains secure.
- Utilize translation tools and technology to support accurate interpretation when necessary.
- Manage multiple interpretation sessions efficiently while adhering to scheduled shifts and deadlines.
- Record and document interpretation activities accurately for reporting purposes.
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills by actively listening and responding effectively in both languages.
- Type quickly and accurately to support documentation and note-taking during sessions.
Qualifications
- Multilingual proficiency with fluency in English plus at least one additional language; bilingual candidates are preferred.
- Proven experience in translation or interpretation roles, especially within professional or technical environments.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to convey messages clearly and empathetically.
- Excellent typing skills for quick note-taking and documentation during shifts.
- Ability to work independently during night hours while maintaining focus and professionalism.
- Flexibility to adapt to different interpreting settings and client needs.
- Prior experience with interpretation technology or translation software is a plus but not mandatory.
