Warehouse & Logistics Manager

Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations
- Oversee all daily warehouse activity to ensure smooth, efficient operations.
- Manage stock intake: ensure all deliveries are received, checked, and discrepancies reported and followed up.
- Maintain high standards of quality control across all stock movements.
- Oversee picking and packing of customer orders to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Manage stock rotation, stock takes, and overall inventory accuracy.
- Analyse operational data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Track mispicks and implement corrective actions to reduce errors.
- Develop and implement warehouse strategies, processes, and procedures.
- Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor to deliver and embed operational improvements.
Logistics & Route Planning
- Use routing software to build efficient daily dray routes.
- Brief and hand over daily routes to draymen.
- Maintain strong communication with drivers throughout the day.
- Train and support the logistics team to ensure high performance and compliance.
- Host weekly team meetings to review performance, priorities, and operational updates.
- Manage staff budgeting for warehouse and logistics teams.
- Work collaboratively with the Sales Director to maximise route efficiency and customer service.
Site & Team Responsibilities
- Ensure empty kegs, returns, and refuse are managed correctly and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised yard and working environment.
- Manage staff holidays, absences, and rota planning.
- Take responsibility for opening and locking the premises as required.
About You
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations management (drinks industry experience highly desirable).
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
- Excellent organisational and problem‑solving abilities.
- Confidence using routing software and warehouse management systems.
- A hands‑on approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross‑functionally.
