We are looking for a motivated and commercially focused Business Development Executive to continue to grow and strengthen our customer base across the Southern region of England and the Midlands. This role will be a combination of office and field-based sales, which will include frequent travel and some overnight stays.
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum basic plus commission
We’re market leaders in Hire & Reward insurance, selling and administering motor insurance policies for minicab and taxi drivers, chauffeurs and delivery drivers and driving instructors. We sit as part of a wider network of businesses that provide a market leading commercial motor insurance offering and over 27 years, we’ve grown from a team of 4 to more than 150 people across 5 companies.
The key focus of the role will be developing client relationships and identify new business opportunities. This is an amazing opportunity for someone who thrives within a sales focused role, enjoys meeting new people and delivering results in a target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Manage your sales pipeline, keep accurate records, and update CRM systems as required
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure customers receive a high-quality service
- Monitor competitor activity, market trends, and customer feedback to support business growth
- Meet agreed sales targets, objectives, and activity KPIs
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in field sales, business development or similar sales role
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- A proactive approach to generating leads and following up opportunities
- Good organisation skills and the ability to manage diary
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and use own initiative
- Commercial awareness and a results-focused mindset
- Full UK driving licence (required)
