Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Support patient care routines including medication administration and health monitoring
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal cleanup
- Manage behavioral challenges through compassionate behavior management techniques
- Provide transportation for appointments or errands, ensuring safe driving practices
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
- Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support families and caregivers by communicating updates and providing emotional support
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home care, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and senior care best practices
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely when assisting with mobility or transfers
- Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient-centered support and compassion
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
