Job Overview
We are seeking a talented and self-motivated Hairdresser to operate as a self-employed professional within our brand new salon environment. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to build your own client base while providing exceptional hairdressing services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for hairstyling, customer service, and the ability to manage their own schedule effectively. Experience in store management, barbering, and specialised treatments such as eyelash extensions and makeup application will be highly advantageous. Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide range of hairdressing services including cutting, colouring, styling, and specialised treatments
- Provide expert advice on haircare products and styling options tailored to clients’ needs
- Manage appointments efficiently whilst maintaining excellent customer service standards
- Upsell additional services such as eyelash extensions, makeup application, and hair treatments to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Maintain a clean and organised work station in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Foster strong relationships with clients through personalised service and professional communication
- Assist with front desk duties when required, including greeting clients and managing bookings
- Mentor junior staff or apprentices where applicable, sharing expertise in hairstyling and customer care
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a hairdresser with relevant qualifications recognised within the industry
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clients
- Strong organisational skills to manage appointments and optimise time efficiently
- Ability to upsell services confidently while maintaining high levels of client satisfaction
- Demonstrated mentoring capabilities or willingness to support junior team members is advantageous
- Professional appearance with a friendly demeanour and excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated with entrepreneurial spirit to grow your own client base within the salon environment
Pay: £30,000.00-£60,000.00 per year
