Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues
- Diagnose faults using specialised tools and equipment
- Repair or replace faulty parts, including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and fluid top-ups
- Test vehicles post-repair to ensure all issues have been resolved effectively
- Maintain accurate records of work carried out and parts used
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times during operations
- Assist with the ordering of parts and tools required for repairs
Requirements
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle repair and maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
- Familiarity with power tools used in automotive repair processes
- Ability to diagnose complex mechanical problems accurately
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive attitude
- Relevant qualifications or certifications in automotive technology are desirable but not essential
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Pay: £26,000.00 per year
