Mandatory Compliance, Tools & Qualifications:
- Public Liability Insurance: You must hold your own active business Public Liability Insurance policy with a minimum of £2,000,000 in cover and provide the certificate upon onboarding.
- Industry Certifications: Preference given to contractors holding certified training in water damage/mould remediation (e.g., BDMA - British Damage Management Association, IICRC, or equivalent).
- Own Professional Equipment: You must own and transport your own professional restoration kit, including:
- Moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras.
- Industrial refrigerant/desiccant dehumidifiers.
- Centrifugal air movers.
- Submersible or truck-mounted water extraction pumps.
- PPE for biohazard/sewage environments.
- Business Status: Must be registered as a Sole Trader or Limited Company in the UK and completely responsible for your own taxes, invoicing, and national insurance.
- Transport: Valid UK driving licence and an independent commercial vehicle (Van) to transport heavy drying equipment directly to emergency sites across London.
