Goldstar Sports is expanding, and we're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and passionate Football Coaches and Assistant Football Coaches to join our growing coaching team in East London.
Whether you're an experienced coach or just starting your coaching journey, we'd love to hear from you. We welcome applications from both male and female coaches aged 18+ who are passionate about developing young players and making a positive impact within the local community.
About the Role
You'll help deliver fun, engaging and structured weekly football sessions for boys and girls aged 6-16 years, while supporting the continued growth of our football programmes.
Our current programmes include:
- Weekly Youth Football Development Sessions
- FA Wildcats (Primary School Girls)
- FA Squad Girls (Secondary School Girls)
- FA Just Play (Women's 18+ Recreational Football)
As our club continues to grow, we'll also be developing competitive teams across various age groups to participate in local leagues and cup competitions. Coaches who are interested in managing teams on weekends will have the opportunity to do so.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver enjoyable, safe and structured football sessions.
- Support players of all abilities in their football development.
- Create a positive, inclusive and encouraging learning environment.
- Work alongside fellow coaches and volunteers.
- Assist with player development and team progression.
- Manage or assist with weekend league and cup matches (when teams are established).
- Promote positive behaviour, teamwork and respect.
What We're Looking For
- A passion for football and youth development.
- Enjoy working with children and young people aged 6-16.
- Professional, reliable and punctual.
- Good communication and organisation skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to supporting the local community.
Qualifications
We welcome applications from:
- Qualified FA Coaches.
- Coaches currently working towards qualifications.
- Experienced grassroots coaches.
- Aspiring coaches looking to begin their coaching journey.
Support may be available for the right candidates to gain recognised FA coaching qualifications and continue their coaching development.
Hours
- Typically 1-2 hours per week initially.
- Evening and weekend sessions available.
- Additional coaching hours will become available as our programmes continue to expand.
- Opportunities to coach weekend league and cup fixtures.
