Due to continued growth and succession planning, we are looking to recruit an experienced Structural Steel Detailer to join our team.

The Role
Working within our drawing office and project team, you will be responsible for the production of accurate structural steelwork models and fabrication information.
Responsibilities include:
- Producing detailed 3D models using Tekla Structures.
- Preparing fabrication, assembly and erection drawings.
- Producing General Arrangement (GA) drawings.
- Generating material schedules, NC files and production reports.
- Reviewing project information and identifying technical issues.
- Raising and managing RFIs.
- Liaising with architects, consulting engineers, clients and internal departments.
- Supporting production and site teams with technical information.
- Ensuring drawings are delivered accurately and to programme.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has a minimum of 3 years' experience in structural steel detailing.
- Is highly proficient in Tekla Structures.
- Has a strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and construction.
- Can confidently interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Has excellent attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
- Is well organised and capable of managing multiple projects.
- Communicates effectively with clients, consultants and colleagues.
- Has the ambition to develop their career and take on additional responsibility.
Knowledge of AutoCAD and BIM processes would be advantageous but is not essential.

Location
This is a full-time office-based role at our Preston headquarters.
Applicants must be able to commute to Preston daily and live within a reasonable commuting distance. Remote working and relocation applications will not be considered.
