Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to ensure their comfort and dignity
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each individual’s needs and preferences
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and healthcare professionals to coordinate care and address concerns
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using simple IT systems and ensure compliance with care standards
- Accompany residents on outings or appointments, ensuring safe transportation and adherence to schedules
- Promote a positive environment by engaging residents in social activities and encouraging their participation in community events
- Follow health and safety protocols diligently to create a safe environment for everyone
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to listen actively and convey information clearly
- Experience working in a care home or home care setting is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while adapting to individual needs
- Basic IT skills for maintaining records and updating care documentation efficiently
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards residents and their families
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to caregiving environments
