Location: Majority of the work is within the Lancashire area, however out customer base is UK wide and travel will occur to carry out tasks. All travel and accommodation is covered by the company.
All work vehicles and fuel cards are provided from out main site on Dock Road, Lytham.

We’re recruiting a plumbing and heating engineer to install, maintain and repair air source heat pump systems for residential, commercial and industrial properties.
We’re looking for a driven individual who understands low-temperature heating systems and is able to provide excellent customer service while ensuring the upmost efficiency in our projects from start through to completion.
What you’ll be doing:
Installations
· Assist the install of air source heat pump systems in both new and existing buildings.
· Assist the install of unvented cylinders so they can be signed off by a supervisor under G3 regulations
· Assist ensuring all installations comply with industry standards, building regulations, and health and safety guidelines.
· Assist with hydraulic requirements of an Air Source Heat Pump installation
· Work with other trades (e.g electricians, plumbers) to integrate the heat pump systems with existing heating systems and controls
Commissioning
· Assist in commissioning of newly installed air source heat pump systems to ensure they are operating efficiently and as designed
· Assist in performing detailed system checks, calibrate controls, and adjust settings to optimise system performance.
· Assist in ensuring that the component such as compressors, pumps, heath exchangers and sensors are functioning correctly
· Assist in providing training to clients on system operation and provide technical support during the commissioning phase
· Assist to ensure that the commissioning processes is fully documented, and relevant certification is provided to your manager.
Maintenance
· Assis and perform routine servicing and maintenance of installed air source heat pump systems to ensure optimal performance
· Identify and troubleshoot issues, performing repairs as necessary
· Conduct system checks to verify that air source heat pumps are operating efficiently and within their specified parameters
Repairs
· Diagnose faults with the air source heat pump system and identify the necessary parts or repairs
· Replace or repair non-refrigerant related failed components (e.d probes, fans, valves) as required
· Ensure that all repairs are completed safely and in a timely manger
Compliance and documentation
· Assist with ensuring all work complies with relevant industry standards, regulations and manufacturers instructions
· Complete accurate records of work carried out, including service reports, commissioning documents if applicable and health and safety assessments
· Assist in ensuring that systems can be certified and meet relevant energy performance standards
Your skills and experiences:
· Relevant qualifications in heating, plumbing or renewable energy (e.g City and Guilds NVQ level 3 in Heat Pump Systems or equivalent)
· Water regulations (beneficial)
· G3 hot water qualification (beneficial)
· Gas safe (not essential)
· Good understanding of air course heat pump systems and associated heating systems
· Proficiency in diagnosing faults and performing repairs on air source heat pumps
· You’ll have experience installing air source heat pumps and wet heating systems including copper pipework radiators
· You’ll have experience of plumbing and heating knowledge of system design as well as domestic hot and cold water system knowledge
· You’ll have the ability to challenge system design that is presented to you and adapt during the dynamic environment of an installation
· You’ll have basic fault finding experience of wet systems and basic electrical knowledge
