The Cancer Care Co ‑ ordinator will play a key role in supporting the breast oncology endocrine treatment pathways, with a focus on improving access to new endocrine and CDK4/6 inhibitor therapies, ensuring compliance with NICE guidance, and enhancing patient experience.
The post holder will be responsible for the coordination, tracking, and administration of long ‑ term endocrine follow ‑ up pathways, supporting clinicians by taking ownership of pathway management work currently undertaken by medical staff. The role will contribute directly to improved patient outcomes, operational performance (including 31 ‑ day sub ‑ treatment targets), and service resilience.
Coordinate breast cancer endocrine treatment and follow-up pathways.
Track patient progress and identify/escalate delays or risks.
Support access to endocrine and CDK4/6 inhibitor treatments.
Help the team meet NHS cancer waiting time targets (including the 31-day target).
Maintain accurate patient records and cancer tracking systems.
Prepare reports and performance data.
Work closely with doctors, nurses, and administrative teams.
Support service improvements and ensure compliance with NICE guidance and information governance.
