We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Service Manager to lead our supported housing services. This role is critical in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centred support that enables residents to achieve greater independence and positive life outcomes.
Main duties
- Provide strong leadership and day-to-day management of the supported housing service and support staff team.
- Ensure high standards of housing management, support delivery, void turnaround, rent collection, and service user satisfaction.
- Oversee the referral, assessment, and move-in processes in line with contractual requirements.
- Develop, implement and review high-quality person-centred support plans for residents.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with referring agencies, local authorities, and partner organisations.
- Provide regular supervision, training, and performance management to the support team.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure all staff are competent in de-escalation, safeguarding, and risk management.
- Monitor service performance against key targets and drive continuous improvement.
- Manage the scheduling of staff to always ensure adequate support coverage.
- Liaise with external professionals (e.g. Probation, Street Outreach, health services, and councils) to achieve the best outcomes for residents.
- Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and ensure compliance with all regulatory and contractual requirements.
Experience
Essential
- Substantial experience of working in supported housing, homelessness, or adult social care services.
- Proven experience in a supervisor or management role, leading and developing a team of support staff.
- Strong knowledge of housing management, rent collection, void management, and performance targets.
- Experience of developing and reviewing person-centred support plans.
- Thorough understanding of safeguarding adults and children procedures.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with external agencies and partners.
- Unrestricted right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).
- Full driving licence and access to own vehicle.
Desirable
- Management qualification or relevant professional qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 4/5 in Leadership & Management, Health & Social Care).
- Experience of working with residents with mental health needs, substance misuse, and complex needs.
- Knowledge of relevant housing legislation and regulatory frameworks.

Pay: Up to £38,000.00 per year
