The Mailing Room has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Support Advisor to join our Customer Support Team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys speaking with customers, building relationships and delivering excellent service over the telephone. You will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, helping to resolve queries, process requests and ensure every interaction leaves a positive impression.
As a Customer Support Advisor, your day-to-day activities are varied. This role requires excellent communication skills, a professional telephone manner and a genuine desire to help customers. You'll work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure our customers receive the highest level of service and support.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling inbound customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Delivering excellent customer service through professional and confident telephone communication.
- Managing customer requests from initial contact through to resolution.
- Scheduling engineer visits and coordinating service appointments.
- Processing customer orders and account requests accurately.
- Updating and maintaining customer records within our CRM system.
- Liaising with internal departments to resolve customer queries efficiently.
- Building strong customer relationships and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Supporting departmental objectives and service targets.
- Undertaking general administrative duties as required.
What We're Looking For
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous customer service, administration or call centre experience.
- An excellent telephone manner with the confidence to communicate professionally and positively with customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- The ability to listen, understand customer needs and provide effective solutions.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise workload effectively.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- A positive, proactive and professional attitude.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Experience within a customer support environment would be advantageous but is not essential.
Pay: £26,500.00 per year
