We are an independent used car dealership based in Southampton, looking for a confident, motivated and proactive Car Sales Executive to join our fast-paced sales team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with customers, has a genuine interest in cars and wants to develop within the motor trade. No two days are the same, so we are looking for someone who is organised, enthusiastic and comfortable working in a busy dealership environment.
The Role
You will support customers throughout the full vehicle-buying process, from their initial enquiry through to vehicle handover.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Speaking with customers to understand their vehicle requirements, preferences and budget
- Presenting vehicles professionally and explaining their key features and benefits
- Handling enquiries by telephone, email, online platforms and face-to-face
- Following up leads and building strong relationships with prospective customers
- Arranging vehicle viewings, appointments and test drives
- Supporting customers throughout the sales and finance process
- Assisting with vehicle handovers and ensuring a positive customer experience
- Maintaining accurate customer and lead records
- Working towards individual and team sales targets
- Helping to keep the showroom, forecourt and vehicles presentable
What We’re Looking For
- Confident, friendly and comfortable speaking with customers
- Excellent communication skills and professional telephone manner
- Motivated, organised and target-driven
- Proactive attitude with a strong willingness to learn
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced sales environment
- Previous car sales experience is preferred but not essential
- Previous B2B or customer-facing sales experience would be advantageous
- Full UK driving licence
- Multilingual or bilingual applicants are highly encouraged
Training will be provided for the right person, so we are open to applicants who may not have previous motor trade experience but can demonstrate confidence, reliability and strong sales potential.
