As a Maintenance Assistant within the Engineering team at 11 Cadogan Gardens and The Chelsea Townhouse - the only Relais Châteaux properties in London - you play an essential role in ensuring our hotels operate safely, efficiently, and seamlessly for both guests and colleagues.
Working as part of a small, dedicated team, you will help maintain the fabric, fixtures, and systems of the buildings, responding proactively to maintenance needs and contributing directly to a smooth and memorable guest journey from check-in through to check-out.
You will be a practical, solution-focused individual who remains calm under pressure and takes pride in maintaining high standards. You will respond to day-to-day maintenance requirements across both properties, supporting operations and ensuring guest comfort at all times.
Respond confidently to maintenance requests and emergency calls from all departments, taking ownership to ensure priority issues are resolved efficiently
Adapt to changing priorities at short notice, ensuring minimal disruption to guest experience and hotel operations
Ensure all appliances, fixtures, fittings, and equipment are safe, operational, and compliant with Health Safety regulations
Maintain awareness of responsibilities under the Health Safety at Work Act and follow safe systems of work at all times
Work collaboratively within the Maintenance team and demonstrate flexibility in carrying out other reasonable tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager
Maintain full awareness of the hotel’s Fire Safety procedures and act in accordance with them
Participate in an on-call rota, as required
