New Direction Support are looking for a highly organised and proactive Administration Assistant with payroll experience to join our friendly and professional team in Plymouth.
This is an important Office based role within the organisation, supporting the smooth running of our operations through accurate administration, payroll support, record management, and compliance monitoring. We are looking for someone reliable, detail-focused, and confident working with sensitive information.
You will be joining a team that has achieved Gold Accreditation from Investors in People, reflecting our commitment to supporting and developing our staff.
Main Responsibilities
- Support payroll administration processes accurately and efficiently
- Maintain and review company records to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
- Conduct regular audits and identify discrepancies where corrective action may be needed
- Work collaboratively with colleagues across departments to resolve administrative issues
- Handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion
- Provide general administrative support to the wider team
- Assist in maintaining organised systems and accurate documentation
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Experienced in administration, ideally within a fast-paced office environment
- Confident working with payroll systems and payroll-related processes
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Professional, reliable, and able to manage sensitive information appropriately
- A strong communicator with good written and verbal skills
- Able to work independently whilst also contributing positively to a team
- Proactive, positive, and solution-focused
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience within the care sector
