At RH Biomass, we're a friendly, family-run business that genuinely values our employees. We operate a modern, high-spec fleet, with none of our Scania vehicles being more than three years old.
We specialise in the transport of forest residue products, animal bedding, grass and maize silage, providing a reliable, year-round service to customers throughout the UK.
Unlike many haulage companies, all of our work is for our own customers, meaning well-planned work with minimal waiting around to load or tip.
The role typically involves 2 nights out per week, although up to 4 nights out are available for drivers who prefer them. Occasional weekend work may be required during busier harvest periods.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate walking floor trailers transporting biomass products, animal bedding, grass and maize silage.
- Comply with all company health and safety procedures.
- Adhere to drivers' hours regulations, tachograph legislation and road safety requirements.
- Complete delivery paperwork, delivery notes and weighbridge tickets accurately.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain high standards of vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
- Deliver excellent customer service and represent RH Biomass professionally.

What We're Looking For
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence
- Minimum of 2 years' Class 1 driving experience
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
- Walking floor experience preferred but not essential, as full training can be provided
- Good understanding of UK transport legislation and compliance requirements
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic and pride in maintaining equipment
