About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Solar PV Installer / Electrician to join our growing renewable energy team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the electrical installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of domestic and/or commercial solar PV systems, ensuring all work is completed safely, professionally and to the required industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
- Install and commission solar PV systems on domestic and commercial properties.
- Carry out DC and AC electrical installation work.
- Install and connect solar panels, inverters, isolators, consumer units and associated equipment.
- Install and commission battery storage systems where required.
- Carry out testing, inspection and fault finding.
- Complete electrical testing and relevant certification.
- Diagnose and resolve installation and system faults.
- Work safely at height and follow all site health & safety procedures.
- Liaise professionally with customers, site managers and other trades.
- Ensure installations are completed to a high standard and in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Complete job sheets, installation records and commissioning paperwork accurately.
- Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicles where applicable.
Requirements
- Qualified electrician with relevant electrical qualifications.
- Previous hands-on experience installing Solar PV systems.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation and testing.
- Good knowledge of BS 7671 / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Experience with solar inverters and PV electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical diagrams and installation plans.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Comfortable working at height and on roofs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider installation team.
Desirable Experience
The following would be advantageous:
- MCS solar installation experience.
- Battery storage installation experience.
- Experience with G98/G99 applications and systems.
- Experience with domestic solar installations.
- Experience with commercial PV installations.
- Inspection & Testing qualification.
- Experience with EV charger installations.
- Experience working with popular solar inverter and battery systems.
