Job Summary
Ross Technology & Business Services UK Ltd. is seeking an organised, technically confident, and delivery-focused Technology Project Specialist to join our team in Belfast.
As a Technology Project Specialist, you will support the planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring of technology-focused projects. You will work across project schedules, technical deliverables, stakeholder communications, risk and issue tracking, reporting, testing, and implementation activities to help ensure projects progress according to agreed requirements.
You will collaborate with Project Managers, IT professionals, technical support teams, systems and infrastructure specialists, operations teams, suppliers, and business stakeholders throughout different stages of project delivery.
This position is suitable for candidates with experience in technology projects, IT project coordination, technical project support, PMO, systems implementation, digital transformation, IT operations, or similar environments.
What You'll Do
- Support planning and delivery of technology and business-system projects.
- Coordinate day-to-day activities across assigned projects and workstreams.
- Maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and action trackers.
- Monitor project progress against agreed timelines and requirements.
- Follow up with technical and business teams on outstanding actions and deliverables.
- Coordinate communication between Project Managers, IT teams, operations, suppliers, and business stakeholders.
- Organise project meetings, technical reviews, workshops, and implementation sessions.
- Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, decision logs, and action records.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and technical records.
- Track risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, and change requests.
- Identify potential project delays or delivery concerns and escalate them appropriately.
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, spreadsheets, presentations, and management updates.
- Support software, infrastructure, system, and technology implementation activities.
- Assist with technology deployments, upgrades, migrations, and configuration projects.
- Coordinate testing activities and support user acceptance testing (UAT) where applicable.
- Track testing results, defects, implementation actions, and outstanding issues.
- Support implementation-readiness and post-deployment activities.
- Coordinate project requirements with external technology suppliers and service providers.
- Assist with project resource and workload planning.
- Support routine project budget, purchase-order, invoice, and expenditure tracking where applicable.
- Maintain information within approved project-management and collaboration platforms.
- Support project governance, quality, documentation, and change-control processes.
- Help maintain project templates, procedures, technical documentation, and knowledge resources.
- Identify opportunities to improve technology-project workflows and delivery processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement across project and technology operations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in technology projects, IT project coordination, project support, PMO, systems implementation, technical operations, digital projects, or a related environment is preferred.
- Strong project coordination and organisational abilities.
- Good understanding of project schedules, milestones, deliverables, risks, dependencies, and issue tracking.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accurate documentation abilities.
- Ability to coordinate multiple project activities, stakeholders, and deadlines.
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and follow-up abilities.
- General understanding of business and information technology environments.
- Familiarity with software, systems, infrastructure, cloud, networking, or digital technologies is advantageous.
- Experience supporting system implementations, deployments, migrations, or upgrades is beneficial.
- Comfortable preparing project reports, spreadsheets, presentations, and technical documentation.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365.
- Familiarity with Jira, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Asana, Trello, Smartsheet, or similar project-management platforms is advantageous.
- General familiarity with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, PRINCE2, or hybrid project-delivery approaches is beneficial.
- Understanding of testing or UAT processes is advantageous.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to interpret technical information and communicate relevant project impacts clearly.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating across multiple technical and business teams.
- Relevant technology, engineering, business, or project-management education or equivalent practical experience will be considered.
- PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, APM, ITIL, Microsoft, or similar professional certifications are advantageous but not essential.

Pay: £3,000.00-£3,500.00 per month
