Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Hod Carrier/Labourer to join our construction team. Responsibilities
- Safely transport and position building materials such as bricks, mortar, and other supplies around the construction site
- Assist with setting up scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment necessary for construction tasks
- Support masons and carpenters by handing them hand tools, power tools, and other materials needed for their work
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by disposing of debris and ensuring tools are stored properly
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
- Help with basic masonry tasks such as mixing mortar or assisting with bricklaying under supervision
- Support roofing teams by passing tools or materials as needed during installation or repairs
Qualifications
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and basic carpentry equipment is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Knowledge of masonry, bricklaying, roofing, or welding is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to perform physical labor including lifting heavy materials, standing for extended periods, and working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety procedures and teamwork skills
- Prior experience in construction or labourer roles is advantageous but not necessary; enthusiasm and reliability are key qualities
