We are hiring for our client, an established organisation in the Newry area, as they seek to appoint an experienced Part-Time Financial Controller for an initial six-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional seeking a meaningful senior-level assignment with genuine flexibility. The requirement is approximately 20 hours per week, which can be structured across half-days or approximately two and a half full days.

Hands-on senior finance role within an established organisation
As Part-Time Financial Controller, you will:

Support and facilitate the month-end close process

Prepare monthly management reports
-
Assist with the annual budgeting process
-
Develop sales workbooks and populate profit and loss forecasts

Complete and review balance sheet reconciliations
-
Maintain and quality-check rebate trackers
-
Prepare Intrastat returns
-
Undertake detailed Excel-based financial analysis

Liaise with stakeholders across the organisation

Coordinate with the existing finance team to ensure deadlines are met

Work with increasing autonomy once familiar with the company's processes
The successful candidate should have:

Previous Financial Controller, Finance Manager or senior management accounting experience

Strong month-end, budgeting and management-reporting skills

Advanced Excel capability

Excellent attention to detail

The ability to work independently and manage deadlines

Strong stakeholder-management and communication skills

A relevant accounting qualification or substantial equivalent experience

Previous experience within a commercially focused organisation
