Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cleaner to join our team, responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene across various premises. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel cleaning, or commercial cleaning is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Perform general cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms and communal areas according to health and safety standards
- Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used correctly and stored safely after use
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet roll as needed
- Follow designated cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or hazards to management
- Handle specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet shampooing or window washing if required
- Adhere to health and safety protocols at all times, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills
- Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is desirable
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Good attention to detail ensuring high standards of cleanliness are maintained
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Customer service skills are a plus for roles involving interaction with clients or visitors
