Location: Bedwas, Caerphilly (CF83 8DU) — covering South Wales and the M4 corridor
Salary: £41,600 per annum (£20.00/hour based on a 40-hour week)

About Us
Ignite Engineering Limited is a growing mechanical and HVAC contractor based in Bedwas, Caerphilly. We design, install, commission and maintain HVAC, mechanical services, controls and associated works for commercial, industrial and public-sector clients — including offices, hotels, leisure facilities, universities and NHS estates. Our work ranges from reactive small works through to major installation projects, alongside a growing planned maintenance (PPM) portfolio.
We're an owner-managed, hands-on business with a strong reputation for quality and responsiveness. As we grow towards our next stage, we're looking for an experienced commercial plumber to join our team.
The Role
We're looking for a skilled commercial plumber to work across our project and maintenance portfolio, covering installation, service and reactive work on commercial and industrial mechanical systems.
You'll be involved in:
- Installation and second-fix pipework on commercial M&E projects
- Planned and reactive maintenance across our PPM contract base
- Working to specification and drawings on live sites
- Liaising professionally with clients, main contractors and site teams
- Occasional work away from the South Wales base when required
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 5 years' commercial plumbing experience
- Strong pipework, second-fix and installation skills across commercial systems
- Comfortable working from drawings and specifications
- Full UK driving licence
- Clean background check (this role may require site-specific vetting/DBS checks)
- Willing to travel and work away from home when the job requires it
- Good communicator, reliable, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team
Gas Safe registration or relevant mechanical qualifications are an advantage but not essential — full training support is available.
