Events Assistant (Fixed Term Contract)

Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week, with additional hours available during busy periods

Squerryes is one of England's most beautiful wine estates, renowned for its award-winning sparkling wines, stunning event spaces and exceptional hospitality.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised Events Assistant to join our Hospitality & Events team on a fixed-term basis for 3–4 months. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hospitality experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
Working across weddings, corporate events, private functions, vineyard tours and wine tastings, you'll play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of events during our busy season.
What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of events and experiences across the estate
- Assisting with event administration, schedules and guest communications
- Preparing event paperwork and maintaining accurate event records
- Supporting event set-up, venue presentation and room preparation
- Welcoming guests and providing exceptional customer service
- Assisting with the smooth delivery of weddings, corporate events and private functions
- Liaising with kitchen, bar, housekeeping and operational teams
- Providing practical support during live events and helping resolve guest queries
- Supporting post-event venue resets and preparation for upcoming events
What We're Looking For
Essential
- Minimum 2 years' experience in hospitality or events
- Full UK driving licence and access to transport
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- A proactive, hands-on approach
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good IT and administrative skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required
Desirable
- Experience within weddings, events or premium hospitality venues
- Experience using booking or event management systems
- Understanding of food and beverage service
- Experience supporting live events
