About Our Client
Our client is a growing, forward-thinking conveyancing firm that keeps company culture at its forefront. With a strong focus on delivering a fast, proactive and client-focused service, their model is designed around keeping transactions moving. They provide dedicated teams supporting the conveyancer across onboarding, sales and post-completion.
They are now looking for an experienced
Residential Conveyancer / Fee Earner to join their team and take ownership of a varied caseload within a highly relationship-driven environment.
The Role
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or non-qualified conveyancer who is confident managing residential property transactions from instruction through to completion and beyond.
You will manage a caseload of approximately
80 files, supported by a wider operational structure which includes a
front-end sales team, dedicated onboarding support and post-completion operations.
The role is particularly suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, communicating regularly with clients and referrers, and working within a modern conveyancing environment rather than a traditional siloed fee-earner model.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a varied residential conveyancing caseload of approximately 80 matters.
- Handle transactions from initial instruction through to completion and post-completion.
- Deal with a range of work including sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold matters, remortgages, transfers of equity and other residential property transactions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents, referrers and other stakeholders.
- Work closely with the front-end sales and onboarding teams to ensure new matters are progressed efficiently.
- Liaise with the post-completion team to ensure a smooth handover and completion of matters.
- Provide clear, proactive and commercially aware communication throughout the transaction.
- Identify and resolve issues quickly to keep transactions moving.
- Meet agreed performance and instruction targets while maintaining high levels of client service.
- Contribute to a collaborative, high-performing team environment.
Performance Expectations
The successful candidate will initially be expected to build towards approximately
20 new instructions per month, with the longer-term target is to be completing at around
14–16 new mattes per month by month six, alongside effectively managing the existing caseload.
The role is relationship-heavy, so the ability to develop trust with clients and professional referrers, communicate confidently and deliver a consistently high level of service is essential.
Experience & Skills
Essential
- Previous experience fee earning within residential conveyancing.
- Confident managing a caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
- Strong understanding of the residential conveyancing process from instruction through to completion.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
- Comfortable working to targets and performance expectations.
Desirable
- Qualified or non-qualified candidates will be considered.
- Experience using LEAP.
- Experience using Perfect Portal.
- Experience working within a modern, team-based conveyancing model.
- Experience dealing directly with estate agents, referrers and other professional introducers.
What Our Client Offers
- Salary up to £50,000, depending on experience.
- OTE of £55,000–£58,000.
- £250–£500 bonus on offer monthly.
- A varied and interesting residential conveyancing caseload.
- Dedicated support across sales, onboarding and post-completion.
- A collaborative and modern working environment.
- The opportunity to develop strong professional relationships with clients and referrers.
- A role within a growing business where high performance and excellent client service are recognised and rewarded.
The Ideal Candidate
Our client is looking for someone who is more than simply technically capable. The ideal candidate will be
commercially minded, relationship-focused and proactive, with the confidence to take ownership of their matters while working collaboratively with the wider operational team.
If you are an experienced residential conveyancer looking for a role where you can combine technical conveyancing expertise with strong client and referrer relationships, this could be an excellent next step.
