Overview
We are seeking motivated and enthusiastic Casual Store Assistants to join our dynamic team. Our Store Assistants play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service by helping customers find products, answering queries, and ensuring the store is clean, well-stocked, and welcoming. You will handle transactions at the till, assist with stock replenishment, and support the team in maintaining attractive displays and promotions. You will be key to creating a positive shopping experience and contributing to the store’s overall success.
The store is a busy Londis store based in the Event Centre.
The shifts available are 8 am - 1.30, 1.30 pm - 6.30 pm and 8 am to 6.30 pm.
Duties
- Assisting with the receipt of Londis deliveries quickly and safely
- Making sure that orders are received, checked, unloaded using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method and assembled correctly in the stock room.
- Ensuring inventory accuracy and reporting on discrepancies to the store supervisor
- Overseeing the replenishment of stock in the storeroom to maximise stock turn.
- Re-stocking products on shelves, ensuring items are displayed neatly, correctly labelled and easily accessible to customers.
- Maintaining clean and tidy stores, disposing of all rubbish, and ensuring any potential hazards are dealt with safety, quickly and efficiently.
- Communicating and recording of stock issues to the store supervisor.
- Being the highlight of people’s day by providing excellent customer service
Requirements
- Hold a GCSE in Maths or equivalent.
- Have the ability to thrive and work under pressure in a fast-paced, high pressure environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evening, weekends and public holidays

The role pays minimum wage for your age, but there are opportunities for advancement.
