Job Introduction
We are looking for a committed Business Support Officer to join our Early Help and Prevention Service to provide high‑quality administrative support that keeps the service running smoothly and professionally.
This contract is Fixed term for 1 Year, working 22.2 hours per week and will be based at Paulsgrove Family Hub.
The Role
Reporting to the Business Support Team Leader, you will provide high quality administrative support to the Early Help and Prevention Team within one of the city's three localities. You will play a vital role in the administration and smooth-running of business processes throughout the Early Help and Prevention Service and respond flexibly in order in support of the service priorities identified by the locality Service Leader.
Roles can vary greatly depending on the range of work for which the Service Leader is responsible; however, all tasks require high quality written and oral communication and a commitment to the continuous provision of high-quality customer care and the ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
The ideal candidate will need to demonstrate the following
You have experience working in a busy administrative environment and, ideally, within Children’s and/or Young People’s Services. You possess strong minute-taking skills, enabling you to produce clear and concise meeting notes, and you are proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams and OneDrive. You can demonstrate excellent numeracy, literacy and communication skills, alongside experience of budget monitoring.
You can provide consistently high standards of customer service to both internal and external customers and are committed to supporting Early Help and Prevention Service Leaders in delivering effective services for children and families. You are skilled at researching, collating and managing information, with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
You can work flexibly to meet the needs of the team and wider service, prioritise your workload effectively, and maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information. You also have a good understanding of data protection and safeguarding requirements.
