We are an established pub restaurant in Chippenham, offering a unique combination of traditional British pub favourites and authentic Indian cuisine. We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team and drive our food offering to the highest standards.
The Role
As Head Chef, you will have full responsibility for kitchen operations, menu development, food quality, team leadership, stock control, and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented chef with strong experience in both English and Indian cuisine.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all kitchen operations.
- Develop and deliver high-quality English and Indian menus.
- Train, motivate, and manage kitchen staff.
- Ensure excellent food quality and presentation.
- Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier relationships.
- Monitor food costs and minimise waste.
- Maintain food safety, HACCP, and health & safety compliance.
- Develop seasonal menus and specials.
- Work closely with management to enhance customer experience.
Requirements
Essential
- Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef.
- Strong experience in both English and Indian cuisine.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of food safety and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Food Hygiene Certification.
- Experience within pub or hospitality environments.
