About You
Are you organised, numbers-savvy, and energised by keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes? Do you want to play a key role in helping one of the UK’s fastest-growing solar companies get the right kit to the right place at the right time? If so, read on!
About Sunsave
Founded in 2022, Sunsave is on a mission to make the power of decentralised energy accessible to every household in the UK. We’re the first company in the UK to offer an FCA-authorised solar subscription service — an all-in-one package covering finance, installation, monitoring and maintenance, so customers can save on their energy bills from day one.
We’ve grown extremely fast, and we’re only just getting started!
About the Role
As a Procurement Associate at Sunsave, you’ll make sure we always have the equipment we need to deliver for our customers — without tying up cash in stock we don’t. Sitting within the Operations team, you’ll own the day-to-day relationship with our wholesalers, place and track orders, support the smooth flow of kit to our installers, and keep a close eye on demand so we never run short at a critical moment.
Day to day, that means:
- Processing orders with our wholesalers — raising purchase orders, confirming pricing and lead times, and chasing deliveries so installs aren’t held up
- Supporting logistics — coordinating the movement of equipment between suppliers, storage, and installation teams, and resolving issues like shortages, damages, or delays
- Managing demand forecasts — using our install pipeline to anticipate what we’ll need and when, keeping stock at the right level to avoid both shortages and overstocking
- Keeping the numbers straight — matching invoices to orders, flagging discrepancies, and helping track procurement spend against budget, as well as ensuring accurate inventory and performance reports are shared with Operations leadership.
- Building strong supplier relationships — being a reliable, professional point of contact and helping us secure better pricing and terms as we scale
- Improving how we work — spotting ways to make our ordering, stock, and forecasting processes more efficient as the business grows
Where this can lead
This is a role with real scope to grow. As Sunsave scales, so will the size and importance of our supply chain — and there’s a clear path into senior procurement, supply chain, or wider operations roles for the right person. We’ll support you with relevant training and development so you can grow into the role and beyond it.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential Requirements
- Some experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or a finance/operations role where you’ve handled orders, suppliers, or budgets
- Strong numeracy and confidence working with financial data — purchase orders, invoices, pricing, and cost tracking
- Confident with spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) — formulas, lookups, and working with larger datasets
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple orders and priorities at once
- A clear communicator who can work well with suppliers and internal teams alike
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment where things change quickly
Desirable (training can be offered)
- Experience with demand forecasting, stock, or inventory management
- Background in a product-heavy industry such as electrical wholesale, construction, manufacturing, renewables, or e-commerce
- Experience using procurement, ERP, or inventory management software
- Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot) for pulling pipeline data
If you don’t feel your skills/experience fulfil all of the brief above, or you feel you’re over-qualified for the role but would be a great fit for us, please apply! We’re a flexible employer looking for the right person, rather than the perfect CV.
