Job Summary
Join our client on a seasonal basis working as a Picker/Warehouse Operative and become a vital part of the logistics operation! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing goods for shipment, ensuring that our customers receive their orders promptly and in perfect condition. Your proactive approach and mechanical aptitude will help maintain a smooth flow of materials through our warehouse, supporting efficient shipping and receiving processes. Duties
- Efficiently pick orders using warehouse management system, locate items quickly and accurately
- Prepare packages for shipment by packing products securely and labelling them correctly
- Load and unload goods safely using manual handling techniques
- Manage stock levels by stocking shelves, replenishing inventory, and organising storage areas
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards before dispatch
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying inbound shipments against purchase orders
- Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment to promote safety and efficiency
Experience
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling is highly desirable
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software is advantageous
- Mechanical knowledge or aptitude helps in troubleshooting equipment issues
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and consistently throughout shifts
- Strong attention to detail for picking, packing, and quality control procedures
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with physical demands
