About This Role
We are looking for a caring and enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to provide 1:1 support to a lovely teenage girl living with her family in Bury.
She has a real love for music and enjoys playing instruments such as the guitar and drums, singing with others, and watching her favourite programmes, including Peppa Pig and Horrid Henry, on her TV or iPad.
She is non-verbal and communicates through her facial expressions, smiles, and laughter. Building a trusting relationship by understanding her unique communication style and responding with patience, warmth, and kindness is an important part of the role.
During the week, you will accompany her to school, providing support throughout the day with personal care, transfers, and her clinical care needs, remaining vigilant to ensure her health, comfort, and wellbeing. On non-school days, you will support her to enjoy fun, meaningful activities centred around her interests, helping her stay engaged while making every day enjoyable and fulfilling.
Clinical Experience
- Previous experience supporting children or young people with complex healthcare needs is desirable.
- Where required, specialist clinical training will be provided by our highly skilled, in house nursing team.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must:
- Have a minimum of 3 months' paid experience working in a professional care setting within the UK.
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Be committed to delivering safe, compassionate and child-centred care.
- Be willing to complete client-specific, clinical training where required.
