It’s an exciting time to join Excel London.
Over the past year, we’ve rebranded, celebrated our 25th anniversary, and opened a £220m expansion of our International Convention Centre. We are looking for a Venue Presentation Operative to help keep our venue looking its best.
As a Venue Presentation Operative, you’ll play an important part in how our venue looks and feels every day - helping to make sure our public areas, offices, welfare facilities, back-of-house spaces and the wider estate are clean, safe and well presented.
This is a hands-on, shift-based role within our Venue Presentation team, supporting daily cleaning activity across one of London’s busiest event destinations.
You’ll follow cleaning schedules, respond to day-to-day priorities, support waste and recycling processes, and help create a positive environment for visitors, exhibitors, organisers, tenants and colleagues.
Why it stands out:
- You’ll be part of the team that helps shape the first impression of a world-class venue
- A varied, practical role across an exciting events destination
- You’ll work in a live venue environment where no two days feel exactly the same
- You’ll be part of a supportive in-house team with a clear focus on standards, safety and guest experience
- Full training will be provided where required
We’re looking for someone who:
- Takes pride in keeping spaces clean, safe and well presented
- Is reliable, practical and comfortable working as part of a team
- Has good attention to detail and is happy following schedules and instructions
- Is polite, professional and confident working in public-facing areas
- Can work flexibly across different shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and peak event periods
- Is comfortable with a hands-on role that can involve standing, walking, bending, lifting, carrying and using cleaning equipment
- Has cleaning experience within venues, facilities, hospitality, retail, transport or another high-footfall environment
You don’t need specific qualifications for this role, but experience or training in cleaning operations, COSHH, manual handling, safe use of equipment or basic health and safety would be helpful. What matters most is a positive attitude, pride in your work and a willingness to support the team.
If you take pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces and want to be part of a team that helps deliver world-class events, we’d love to hear from you.
