The Role
As a relatively small business, everyone plays an important part in our success.
We are looking for a commercially minded, customer-focused individual who enjoys speaking to customers, spotting sales opportunities and helping keep the day-to-day operation of the business running smoothly.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be the first point of contact for many of our customers, supporting sales enquiries, processing orders, liaising with suppliers and logistics partners, and working closely with our external sales team. You'll receive full training on our products and systems, enabling you to become a trusted adviser to our customers.
This role would suit someone who enjoys combining customer service, sales and administration in a busy office environment.

- Handling incoming sales enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
- Preparing, issuing and following up customer quotations.
- Identifying opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and services.
- Processing customer sales orders from receipt through to despatch and invoicing.
- Liaising with suppliers regarding purchasing and stock requirements.
- Keeping customers informed of order progress and resolving any delivery issues.
- Arranging deliveries and assisting with logistics, including proof of delivery requests.
- Maintaining accurate pricing information and product price lists.
- Following up marketing campaigns and Mailchimp mailings.
- Contacting lapsed customers and helping generate new business opportunities.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.
- Working closely with the external sales team and supporting their activities.
- Maintaining accurate customer records using Sage and CRM systems.
- Supporting the wider team with the day-to-day operation of the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic, organised and commercially aware. You'll enjoy talking to people, building relationships and taking pride in providing outstanding customer service.
Ideally, you'll have:
- Previous experience in sales administration, internal sales, customer service or a similar commercial role.
- A confident and professional telephone manner.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to identify and develop sales opportunities.
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Experience of Sage or CRM systems would be an advantage but is not essential.
- The ability to prioritise your workload and work effectively in a busy environment.
- A positive attitude, willingness to learn and a proactive approach.
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, industrial or print would be beneficial, although full product training will be provided.
