Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating large goods vehicles, primarily hookloader lorries, to ensure the safe and timely delivery of goods across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced driver the position requires a commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Safely operating hook loader lorries, in compliance with all legal and company regulations
- Conduct daily pre-journey checks on the vehicle to ensure roadworthiness and safety standards are met
- Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely deliveries to clients and customers
- Secure loads appropriately on vehicle And trailer , ensuring stability during transit
- Complete all necessary paperwork accurately, including delivery notes and vehicle logs
- Maintain a professional attitude when interacting with customers and members of the public.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including compliance with driving hours regulations and tachograph rules
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to management for immediate action
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 1 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with hook loader lorries.
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in logistics
- Good communication skills for liaising with clients and team members
- Flexibility to work fluctuating start times as required by work demand
