Duties
- Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients to assist chefs with food preparation tasks
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, utensils, pots, pans, and equipment
- Assist with the proper storage of ingredients and supplies to ensure freshness and safety standards are met
- Support the kitchen team during busy service times by clearing tables and assisting with basic serving duties when needed
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by adhering to hygiene standards at all times
- Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to maintain an eco-friendly kitchen environment
- Restock supplies and organize storage areas for efficiency and ease of access
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is highly desirable but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting colleagues
- Good communication skills to follow instructions clearly and efficiently
- A passion for hospitality, cooking, or culinary arts is a plus but not required; training will be provided
