We are looking for enthusiastic, friendly, and customer-focused Leisure Attendants to become the welcoming face of our leisure facilities. This varied role combines excellent customer service with operational support, ensuring every guest enjoys a safe, enjoyable, and memorable visit while helping to maximise the success of our leisure operations.
Responsibilities
- Welcome guests to the leisure facilities, providing a friendly and professional first impression.
- Check guests into pre-booked activities and leisure sessions, ensuring bookings are accurate and all required information is collected.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customer enquiries, providing information on activities, facilities, opening times, and resort services.
- Promote and upsell leisure activities, retail products, memberships, and seasonal promotions to enhance the guest experience and support departmental revenue.
- Operate reception systems, process payments, and manage bookings in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with the operation of seasonal and pop-up attractions, including Water Walkers and the Summer Cyclone experience.
- Prepare, issue, and maintain equipment required for activities, ensuring it is clean, safe, and fit for use.
- Maintain high standards of presentation, cleanliness, and organisation throughout reception and leisure areas.
- Work closely with Lifeguards, Water sports Instructors, and the wider Leisure Team to ensure the smooth daily operation of all facilities.
- Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management where appropriate.
- Ensure all company policies, Health & Safety procedures, and operational standards are followed at all times.
- Complete administrative tasks and operational paperwork accurately and within required timescales.
- Support the wider Leisure Department during busy periods and assist with resort events where required.
Experience / Skills Required
- Previous experience within customer service, hospitality, leisure, or a visitor attraction is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with guests of all ages.
- Friendly, approachable, and professional manner.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Leisure Attendant Job Description
- Confident using computerised booking and payment systems (training will be provided).
- A proactive and flexible approach to work, including weekends, bank holidays, and peak holiday periods.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also using initiative when working independently.
- A passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.
- Must be at least 16 years old.
