Responsible for assisting the construction and maintenance teams in all aspects of soft landscape projects and landscape maintenance duties.
Duties and responsibilities will vary from job to job and are likely to change throughout the year. Tasks are likely to include:
- Load tools and equipment safely in to and on vehicles.
- Undertake instructed tasks on site from senior staff members to help produce a high end finish.
- Work with a professional manner at all times.
- Be polite and courteous to clients and be mindful of their property and requests.
- Keep yards, work spaces and vehicles clean, tidy, organised and free from rubbish.
- Make sure all buildings, vehicles and trailers are locked when not in use.
- To create a positive impression with clients, presenting a professional and proactive attitude
- To understand and work to agreed Company procedures including Health and Safety
- Ensure security of Company buildings, vehicles, machinery and materials.
On site tasks may include: spreading of topsoil, grass seeding, planting and turfing. With correct training you may also use excavators and dumpers. Grounds maintenance duties would include, mowing, strimming, hedge-cutting, litter removal and weed control. Trained operatives may also use ride-on lawn mowers and apply chemical weed control herbicides.
