Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Construction Site Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing teams, ensuring safety standards, and delivering projects within specified timelines and budgets. Duties
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise all construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and safety regulations.
- Manage and oversee subcontractors, suppliers, and labour teams to optimise productivity and quality standards.
- Develop detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, monitor progress, and adjust plans as necessary to meet deadlines.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with health and safety policies, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to communicate project updates and resolve any issues promptly.
- Control project resources effectively, including materials, equipment utilisation, and labour allocation.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of project progress, changes, and incidents for reporting purposes.
- Lead problem-solving efforts on-site to address unforeseen challenges efficiently while maintaining project momentum.
Experience
- Proven management experience within the construction industry, with a track record of supervising teams on large-scale projects.
- Demonstrable supervisory experience overseeing subcontractors and labour forces in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
- Knowledge of current health & safety legislation relevant to construction sites is required.
- Effective communication skills for liaising with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
