Overview
Inductotherm Europe Ltd. is the European furnace division of the world leading Inductotherm Group. We manufacture and supply from our Droitwich plant, induction melting and automatic pouring products to countries in Europe from Portugal in the west all the way across to Eastern Europe. Established in 1971, Inductotherm Europe Ltd. has become the dominant supplier of furnace equipment in European foundries. We are now looking for Test Engineers to join our team.
Duties
In this role you will test and inspect the following equipment types:
· Inverters and controls systems ranging from 15KW to 15MW.
· Induction melting furnaces ranging from 1Kg to 35T.
· Hydraulic fluid control systems, ancillary panels, and associated components.
· Water cooling systems, ancillary panels, and associated components.
· PC and PLC metal melting control systems.
· The calibration and programming of electronic boards and modules.
· The use of overhead cranes and forklift trucks.
· The connection of water fittings and electrical supplies to equipment.
· The connection of coils and furnaces to the power units under test.
· Have a good working knowledge of PLC including on-line fault diagnosis.
· The use of electrical test measurement equipment, including but not limited to Multi-meters, Oscilloscopes, 3 phase power analysis equipment.
· Work with voltages supplies in the range of 415VAC - 1150VAC.
· The test and inspection of PLC and PC control systems.
· Working closely with Design/ Service Engineers and shop floor staff for problem solving.
· Test, inspect and sign off equipment in Manufacture and component parts on dispatch.
· Administration tasks including completing quality system documentation.
Qualifications/Experience:
· Electrical qualifications to HNC minimum level.
· Preferably HV & LV Switchgear trained.
· First Aid training is desirable.
· Safety training (i.e. Risk assessment, safe environment, HSE at work, IOSH, LOTO)
· Working with live equipment in a test environment.
· Knowledge of single and 3-phase electrical circuits (high power), knowledge of analogue and digital electronic circuitry.
