About the role:
As an Inventory Controller at JCB World Parts Centre, you will play a key role in ensuring the continuity of supply of parts for our aftermarket operations. Working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will be responsible for material requirements planning, inventory optimisation, and maintaining supplier performance to support the efficient operation of the parts distribution network.
This is a fast-paced role requiring strong analytical skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while working to tight deadlines.
What does this role involve day to day?
- Managing the continuity of supply of parts to support aftermarket operations.
- Planning material requirements and expediting parts from suppliers in line with system-generated demand.
- Monitoring inventory levels and applying lean inventory management principles to optimise stock holdings.
- Working proactively with suppliers to review and continuously improve performance and reliability.
- Tracking and maintaining supplier performance against key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identifying supply chain issues and implementing effective problem-solving and process improvement initiatives.
- Expediting materials from suppliers to ensure timely delivery and minimise supply disruptions.
- Analysing inventory and supplier data to support informed decision-making and operational performance.
- Collaborating with colleagues across the business to ensure customer and business requirements are met.
This will be suited to you if…
- You have demonstrable experience in materials planning, inventory control, or supply chain operations.
- You possess excellent communication skills and can build effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- You're highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, including the use of VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- You're well organised and able to manage competing priorities effectively.
- You can work calmly and accurately under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
- You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement improvements.
- You're proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuously improving processes and performance.
- You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where collaboration and teamwork are essential to success.
