About the role
- Daytime hours only – no evenings or late nights!
- Consistent routine with weekends off

- Help with washing up and kitchen tasks, so you can focus on cooking
What you’ll be doing
- Preparing fresh, balanced meals and snacks each day
- Planning simple, child-friendly menus
- Managing food orders and stock
- Catering for allergies and dietary requirements
- Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and safe
- Completing food safety records
What we’re looking for
- Confident cooking from scratch
- Organised and able to manage a small kitchen independently
- Knowledgeable about food hygiene and allergens
- Reliable and consistent
- Friendly and comfortable working around children
Experience in a nursery, school, café, care home or similar catering role is ideal but not essential.
Hours
Part-time, typically 5–7 hours per day (daytime only)
