Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Painter and Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both interior and exterior painting, as well as decorating tasks, ensuring high standards of quality and attention to detail. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, from residential to commercial properties, contributing to transforming spaces with colour and finish. A valid driving licence and good communication skills are essential for effective coordination on site.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion
- Apply paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and care
- Use a variety of tools including brushes, rollers, spray guns, and specialised equipment
- Assist in the decoration of interiors and exteriors, including ceilings, walls, woodwork, and fixtures
- Follow technical specifications and safety procedures throughout all tasks
- Coordinate with clients and team members to ensure project requirements are met within deadlines
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency
- Ensure the correct disposal of waste materials in accordance with environmental regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related trade skills
- Must have blue CSCS Card
- Must have their own tools.
- Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members
- Strong communication skills to understand project specifications and relay information clearly
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings
- Organised approach with attention to detail to deliver high-quality finishes
- Physical fitness to handle manual tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working at heights
- Willingness to adhere to health and safety regulations at all times
