BattleKart combines electric go-karts, real-life video gaming and immersive projection technology to create an experience unlike anything else. From corporate events and team building days to birthday parties and competitive gaming, no two shifts are ever the same.
We're looking for an experienced Duty Manager who enjoys leading from the front, creating exceptional guest experiences and helping a growing business reach its full potential.
You'll work closely with the General Manager to lead the day-to-day operation of the venue, support the development of the team and contribute ideas that improve both the guest experience and the success of the business.
What you'll be doing
- Leading shifts and supporting the Guest Experience team.
- Delivering exceptional customer service and memorable guest experiences.
- Taking responsibility for venue operations, health and safety, and presentation standards.
- Opening and closing the venue.
- Managing bookings, guest enquiries and operational issues.
- Supporting the recruitment, training and development of team members.
- Helping deliver corporate events, parties and exclusive venue hires.
- Building relationships with guests and identifying opportunities to encourage repeat business.
- Working closely with the General Manager to continuously improve standards, performance and the overall success of the venue.
We're looking for someone who has
- At least one year's experience in a Duty Manager or similar venue leadership role.
- Strong hospitality, leisure or attractions experience.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Confidence making decisions and taking responsibility.
- A genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
- A proactive approach with the confidence to contribute ideas and drive improvements.
- A calm, organised approach under pressure.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
Desirable
- Experience coordinating events, developing customer relationships or supporting business development.
- Experience working towards commercial targets.
- An interest in technical operations or venue systems.
