About the Role
VBC Group is looking for a reliable and practical Production Operative to support our busy production function at our Loughborough site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in accuracy and quality, and is comfortable working as part of a small, focused team.
The successful candidate will help ensure customer orders are produced, prepared and delivered to the required standard, while supporting good housekeeping, stock accuracy, health and safety, and the company’s quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain manufacturing equipment in line with the defined schedule.
· Assist with picking, packing as required.
· Support stocktakes and help maintain accurate stock records.
· Manufacture and control paste in accordance with relevant quality procedures.
· Set up and cut wire from spool in accordance with quality procedures.
· Manually cut materials to customer requirements.
· Carry out TEAVing and flag tagging, manually or semi-automatically, as required.
· Operate the XRF in accordance with the training provided.
· Purchase consumables for paste making using Phoenix and support other business consumable purchases.
· Make local customer deliveries using a company vehicle when required.
· Help maintain good housekeeping inside and outside the premises.
· Follow VBC internal procedures, policies, company handbook requirements, health and safety procedures, regulatory requirements, and environmental and quality policies.
· Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who is dependable, detail-focused and willing to learn. Previous experience in a production, warehouse or manufacturing environment would be helpful, but full training will be provided where required.
· A practical, hands-on approach to work.
· Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
· Ability to follow procedures accurately and work safely.
· Good communication skills and willingness to work with different departments.
· A flexible and helpful attitude.
· A full, clean driving licence, as local deliveries may be required.
