Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team, providing essential support to individuals in care homes and those receiving home care services. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote dignity and independence.
- Support clients with daily routines including meal preparation, medication reminders, and light household chores.
- Develop and follow individualized care plans tailored to each person's needs, preferences, and health conditions.
- Maintain clear communication with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure consistent and effective care delivery.
- Use IT systems to document care activities accurately and update client records regularly.
- Drive clients safely to appointments or outings when required, ensuring adherence to road safety standards.
- Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly, and assist with emergency response procedures if necessary.
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English to effectively interact with clients, families, and team members.
- Valid driving license and ability to drive safely for home care visits or outings.
- Experience working in a care home or providing home care services is highly desirable.
- Ability to read and interpret care plans accurately to deliver personalized support.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and communication purposes.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards vulnerable individuals.
- Good understanding of health and safety procedures relevant to caregiving environments.
