EVENT CHEFS & KITCHEN ASSISTANTS WANTED

Oh So British Kitchen is a growing events and street food company that has been operating for over 12 years, with decades of combined hospitality and events experience across our directors and management team.
As we continue to grow and take on more venues, we’re looking for experienced Event Chefs and Kitchen Assistants to join our team, working at some of the biggest sporting, music and entertainment venues across the North West.
WHERE YOU’LL BE WORKING
Our team operates busy street food units at venues and events including:
* Manchester City Football Club – guaranteed work at every home game, including Premier League & Champions League fixtures
* Haydock Park Racecourse – race meetings, concerts and major event days
* Liverpool Convention Centre
* Blackstone Warehouse – live music, concerts and events
* Plus festivals and large-scale events across the North West
WHAT TO EXPECT
This is an events-based role, so good weekend availability and flexibility are essential.
You’ll be offered a mixture of:
* Live event days
* Football match days
* Race meetings
* Concerts & festivals
* Occasional prep days
Event days can involve longer shifts. At Manchester City, for example, shifts can start up to 7 hours before kick-off and finish around 2 hours after the final whistle.
You’ll be joining an experienced team working in fast-paced, high-volume street food kitchens, where reliability, teamwork and a positive attitude are essential.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
Event Chefs – Previous Experience Essential
Previous professional chef/kitchen experience is essential for this role. You’ll need to be confident working independently and as part of a team in busy, high-volume kitchens.
You’ll be expected to work under pressure, maintain excellent food quality and hygiene standards, and deliver a consistent product throughout busy service periods.
Kitchen Assistants
Previous experience is helpful but isn’t essential for the right person. We’re looking for reliable, hardworking people who are willing to learn, work as part of a team and get stuck in.
A full driving licence is preferred but not essential, as we operate across multiple venues throughout the North West.
PAY & WORK
Competitive hourly rates, based on experience and discussed at interview.
All staff are paid properly through payroll — this is not cash-in-hand work.
